Hotels & Motels in Glens Falls, NY
For an all-American tourist experience, head to Glens Falls in upstate New York, nicknamed “Hometown U.S.A” as much for its friendly and laid-back community-oriented way of life as its quiet tree-lined streets. Glens Falls is a great destination for city-dwellers looking to break away from the urban grunge as it’s considered the gateway to Adirondack region, where relaxing and really getting away from it all is mandatory.
But Glens Falls isn’t your average sleepy small town—it’s full of cultural activity, especially in the summer when many festivals and events are on and the arts and theater communities are in full swing. Adventure seekers won’t be disappointed either—the area is surrounded by lakes and mountains, so it’s a great place to go boating, take a hike or try mountain biking. If that’s not thrilling enough, the Great Escape Six Flags in Lake George offers fear-inspiring rides that will really get the heart racing. In the winter, nearby resorts like Gore Mountain, Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid attract some of the top snowboarders and skiers in America.

WHERE TO STAY
Hotels & Motels in Glens Falls Downtown
As a site of a few major battles during the American Revolutionary War in the late 1700s, Glens Falls has a rich and varied history that comes to life in the downtown district, where sites like the Civil War Monument, the Crandall Public Library and the DeLong House represent important events in the history not just the town but the entire nation.
Unfortunately, tourist accommodation options in downtown Glens Falls are limited, but there is one excellent choice–the historic Queensbury Hotel offers elegant accommodations and 125 sophisticated and well-appointed rooms. Built in 1923, the Queensbury Hotel has become a sort of centerpiece in the town and is a popular place to host weddings and events. Still, even individual groups will enjoy the many amenities, including a spa, an indoor pool with Jacuzzi, a fitness center, and a restaurant and lounge. Beyond the Queensbury, the closest hotels are located west of downtown at the junction of Main Street and Interstate 87, where a few chain hotels provide affordable accommodations.
Accommodation options are more plentiful north of downtown near the Mount Royal Plaza, a popular shopping area. Several hotel options are available here, including a few brand name hotels as well as the Budget Inn and the Alphenhause Motel.
